Job Summary
The Data Entry Coordinator supports the Quality Registry Manager and Research Team in all activities related to medical database entry and maintenance of accurate databases at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine. This position is hybrid – you will have the ability to work remotely, but there is an in-office (Carmel, IN) component as well.

Job Duties
- Collection of clinical data to include but not limited to:
- Chart review of clinic notes, patient registration forms, physician clinic notes, and surgery dictations for data abstraction purposes for potential patients for the Registry Program
- Interview by phone patients enrolled in quality registries for the purpose of clinical improvement and research.
- Database maintenance:
- Maintain accurate clinical databases
- Assist and use technology to facilitate and improve accuracy of data collection
- Monitor data quality within databases and provide immediate feedback to department supervisor
- Assist Quality Registry Manager in all activities associated with quality and research data collection, data validation, and reporting functions
- Review audit report and review/rectify the errors reported
- Ensure that work is completed in a timely manner in compliance with departmental policies and procedures, including patient privacy protection policies under HIPAA
- Interact and work collaboratively with investigators, residents, and clinical research team
- Actively participate in monthly teleconferences and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Educational and Experience Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of previous experience in a healthcare setting with database entry and data management preferred
- Coursework in science, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred
